Human Connection
Conversation, companionship, reassurance, and presence are treated as meaningful parts of everyday well-being.
About Space Coast Support Services
Every person deserves to feel respected, heard, and supported while maintaining as much independence as possible.
Space Coast Support Services was created to provide dependable, non-medical support for seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and others who could benefit from a little extra help while remaining connected to their homes and communities.
Our Story
Space Coast Support Services began with a simple belief: people should not have to give up their independence just because they could benefit from a little extra support.
Over time, we recognized that many seniors and adults with disabilities do not need extensive or hands-on care. They may simply need a dependable person to check in, offer companionship, provide a reminder, retrieve the mail, or help with a few light everyday tasks.
Families may also need reassurance that someone trustworthy is present, attentive, and willing to communicate when authorized. Yet traditional providers often require lengthy visits, even when the individual only needs a small amount of support.
Space Coast Support Services was created to help fill that gap. Our one-hour minimum makes it possible to receive meaningful support without committing to several hours of service. Every visit is designed to respect the person’s routines, choices, abilities, privacy, and dignity.
We are intentionally non-medical, non-clinical, and non-hands-on. Our role is not to take over a person’s life or replace licensed care. It is to provide practical help, human connection, and dependable reassurance that supports greater confidence and independence.
Conversation, companionship, reassurance, and presence are treated as meaningful parts of everyday well-being.
We focus on approved non-medical tasks that make routines more manageable without taking away independence.
We are locally owned and committed to serving seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and families throughout Brevard County.
Our Purpose
Our mission defines the work we do today. Our vision reflects the community we are working to help create for the future.
To provide compassionate, dependable, and non-medical support services that empower seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and other community members to live with greater independence, dignity, confidence, and peace of mind while remaining safely connected to their homes and communities.
To help create a community where seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and families have access to flexible, respectful, and dependable support that strengthens independence, reduces isolation, and improves everyday quality of life.
This commitment shapes how we communicate, how we provide services, and how we treat every person and family who places their trust in Space Coast Support Services.
Meet the Founder
Space Coast Support Services is led by someone who understands that meaningful support begins with listening, respect, and recognizing the dignity of every person.
Founder & Managing Member
Ayana Young founded Space Coast Support Services with a clear purpose: to provide dependable, compassionate assistance for people who want to remain independent but may benefit from a little extra support in their daily lives.
Her professional experience includes investigating concerns involving abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation. Through that work, she gained a deeper understanding of the challenges seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and families may face when appropriate support is unavailable, inflexible, or difficult to access.
She also recognized an important gap. Many people do not need medical care, hands-on personal care, or several hours of service. They may need companionship, a wellness check-in, appointment reminders, light household assistance, or simply the reassurance of knowing someone dependable will be there.
Space Coast Support Services was created to help meet that need through flexible, respectful, and non-medical support. Ayana’s approach is centered on listening first, honoring individual choice, maintaining clear professional boundaries, and helping each person remain as confident and independent as possible.
I created Space Coast Support Services because sometimes one thoughtful visit, one dependable person, or one small act of support can make everyday life feel more manageable.
Our Approach
We do not believe support should feel rushed, impersonal, or one-size-fits-all. Our approach begins by understanding the person, their preferences, their routines, and the kind of assistance that would make everyday life more manageable.
Every client brings different strengths, routines, preferences, and goals. Before services begin, we take time to understand what the person wants help with, what they prefer to continue doing independently, and how support should be provided.
Our role is not to take over. It is to provide approved non-medical and non-hands-on assistance that supports confidence, choice, safety, connection, and independence.
We also communicate clearly about what we can and cannot provide. When a requested service falls outside our scope, we explain the limitation respectfully and may share information about an appropriate licensed or community resource.
We begin with a conversation about the person’s routines, needs, preferences, concerns, and goals for support.
We confirm that the requested services fit our non-medical, non-clinical, and non-hands-on scope before services begin.
We develop an agreed service schedule and task plan based on the individual’s preferences and approved support needs.
We provide dependable service, communicate respectfully, and make reasonable adjustments when needs or routines change.
These principles shape how we communicate, make decisions, and provide support.
Every client is treated as an individual whose choices, preferences, beliefs, and life experience deserve respect.
We provide only approved services and do not perform medical, clinical, personal-care, lifting, transfer, or medication-handling duties.
We support existing abilities and encourage clients to remain involved in the routines and decisions that affect their lives.
We explain services clearly, set realistic expectations, and communicate significant concerns when authorized and appropriate.
Our one-hour minimum helps clients receive meaningful support without automatically committing to several hours of service.
When appropriate, we help clients and families identify local programs, services, and community resources that may be useful.
Space Coast Support Services does not provide medical treatment, nursing, home health services, hands-on personal care, medication administration, medication preparation, lifting, transfers, or other services requiring professional healthcare licensure. When those services are needed, clients should work with an appropriately licensed provider.
Our Core Values
Our values are more than words on a page. They guide how we listen, communicate, make decisions, protect client rights, and provide dependable support throughout our community.
Policies and procedures help us provide consistent service, but we never lose sight of the individual. Every person deserves to feel heard, respected, valued, and included in decisions affecting their support.
We listen with patience, respond with empathy, and recognize that every person’s circumstances, concerns, and support needs are different.
We honor each person’s inherent worth, life experience, privacy, and right to receive support without being diminished, patronized, or overlooked.
We respect personal choices, routines, beliefs, cultural backgrounds, boundaries, homes, relationships, and preferred ways of communicating.
We support existing abilities and encourage clients to remain active participants in their routines, decisions, relationships, and communities.
We communicate honestly, represent our services accurately, maintain appropriate boundaries, protect confidential information, and do what is right even when no one is watching.
We strive to be consistent, prepared, responsive, punctual, and dependable so clients and families can feel confident in the support they receive.
We accept responsibility for our decisions, document services carefully, respond to concerns professionally, and use feedback to strengthen our work.
We welcome and serve people with different abilities, backgrounds, identities, beliefs, family structures, and life experiences with fairness and respect.
We build relationships, share useful resources, support caregivers, and work to strengthen the Brevard County communities in which our clients live.
Visitors should be able to experience our values through our actions, communication, and service—not simply read them on our website.
Our goal is for every person we serve to leave each interaction feeling respected, valued, supported, and more confident in their ability to remain connected to the life they choose.
